Default Transmission mount … hard white plastic?

title won’t change The o2 plug end is found by pulling out the body grommet. You don’t take the interior apart.

next question:

Ordered a new foam transmission mount and the rubber rings for the spring. But now I’m under the car and there’s a hard white chunk of plastic that is not on the parts diagram. The single bolt up the center is stripped out so if this car does not use a foam bushing, I’m gonna skip trying to get this stripped bolt out.

Your V - 12 takes a different transmission mount / cross member , same as the supercharged as exactly same GM transmission

On the lighter inline 6 transmission mount there is a round plastic donut that sticks out there attached to nothing , vibration damper ?

This source has the Transmision types mixed around as the ZF 6HP28 , later 6 speed

Thank you Mr. Parker…. Maybe somebody installed wrong parts on my car in the past? Here are photos just because the drawing you linked does not show this white plastic bit, it shows the foam mushroom I bought to install. Does this look like your car?

Another picture off the car showing remnants of bushing, plus a plastic ring and a rubber piece that is not on the diagram.

I wonder if someone just shoved this on instead of doing a proper repair.

In that last picture, is the gap between the washer and the bushing normal?

Ran into a few more issues. The transmission drive flange came off with the driveshaft. The bolt inside had backed off, and rolled around and ruined the first few threads. That’s the second V12 of mine I’ve seen this (the other was a TH400). Tap and die plus some loctite fixed it but just weird this has happened twice now on different cars with V12s and different transmission types. The driveshaft to flange bolts were loose too. Then I replaced the u-joints and wrecked one of the new u joints. Some how managed to push the iron cross right through the end cap. Glad I’ve replaced everything, rubber disc, center bearing etc. Maybe that noisy diff isn’t the diff after all because everything about the driveshaft was shot.

Getting cold here and I need this car on the road!

Yes, to the best of my knowledge.
