Question 04 XJ8 brakes.

I have been having a squeal problem with my brakes (04 XJ8) for a while . Dealer turned the rotors and roughed the pads. It lasted for about a week. Now that it is getting warmer and I have the windows down and roof open at times, the squeal is maddening. I have found the Akebono pads, but don't know what rotors to use. Any suggestions?

Did you get the Akebono Ceramic Euro pads for the front? Where did you find them? I am also needing brakes soon and have a really rough braking sound on my 05 XJ8L. I was just looking for rotors last night. I used Brembo replacement rotors and Akebono Euro Ceramic pads on my XK, but I can't seem the find inexpensive, high quality rotors for the XJ.

I am getting the pads from Rock Auto. You have to search the part number to find them (??). because they don't show up in a search by car. The info for the parts, lists the Jaguar 04-05 years. Strange!! They have the rotors listed for the car, but I am not familiar with the quality of the brands listed.

Front: AKEBONO Part # EUR1065
Rear: AKEBONO Part # EUR806

UPDATE:
I just ordered the rotors from R1 Concepts.

1 POEF06471 - 120.61077 - JAGUAR XJ8 04 Brake Rotors - Premium - OEM Replacement - Front
1 POER06471 - 120.61062 - JAGUAR XJ8 04 Brake Rotors - Premium - OEM Replacement - Rear

I did pads and rotors from Rock Auto. Akebono's and forget what the rotors were, but the rotors ended up being incorrect for my '04 VDP. They were 20mm too narrow. I ended up going with OEM Jag rotors with the Akebono's and they work great!

Very little dust (like driving a Jap car), and stopping power is all one could ask for. Quiet too.
