you press the off button on the roof console. 08 comes with the updated sensors.. not much you can do or dealer..can do

The parking aid should deactivate above 12mph. If it is going off while driving faster then you have a problem. Look at the switch pack on the left side where the trunk and fuel door release is. Also fog lamp switches are there. If there is one in the middle, a car inside a triangle, this is forward alert. Press this and it will deactivate. I think you will have to push that every ignition cycle as it is default set to on. Forward alert basically warns you of slower moving vehicles or stationary objects and normally is on vehicles equipped with adaptive cruise control. Hope this helps.
