I have a problem with my Jag that if I let it sit for 3=5 days the battery goes dead and its a new battery.
Charging and driving daily it works fine.
I cant find anything that is on draining the battery
Any ideas?

Assuming your battery is good, there are many possible drains.
First and foremost, do not leave the key in the ignition when not using the car. That keeps assorted systems energized.

I always pull the key unless listening to the radio or driving.

Beyond that, get an ammeter and start pulling fuses to find the offending system. There are schematics and fuse panel diagrams available.

Default 1998 battery drain

JaguarBill

I just got a little time to check the battery
I put the charger on the battery and my volt meter on the terminals
with the amp meter on the neg.cable of the charger.
14.65 volts at 35 amp charge charge rate for 5 minutes to see if the battery charge would hold voltage.
Amp meter shows 35 amps during charge.

I turned the charger off and voltage dropped to 12.15. Amp meter shows .10 amp drain.
I thought the amp meter was reading a error going through the charger so I removed the positive cable and the drain remains
This is all done with the car cables disconnected from the battery!!!
To me this sounds like a short in the battery.
Also there is no voltage leak across the top of the battery case.
any ideas???

Default Battery drain

I left the battery last night at 12.09 volts and this morning it read 10.23 volts with a .04 amp. drain.
It looks like a internal short.
Getting new battery today

Might be better to post in the X308 forum, the one for your car. This is for the post 2003 aluminium cars.
