Default 2004 XJR LED Lights

So I decided to dress up the new car with some LED lights. I was planning to get the "error free" LED bulbs but I noticed that both the license plate bulbs and one side marker but there were no errors on the dash.

With that info I bought cheaper non-error free LED bulbs. So far I have replaced the license plate bulbs, the four side markers and the 2 small white "eyebrow" headlights. No dash errors so far.

I tried to replace the side flasher lights but as soon as I did it started to hyper flash (flash really fast).

Does anybody know where the flasher module is so I can replace it with a digital version?

Not really a response to your post, but how did you open up the license plate to replace the bulbs? Mine have been burnt out for months and I have LED w5ws for replacement but simply can't figure out how to open it up...and when the car was in for service two days ago the nitwits forgot to do it for me.

There is a picture of how to remove the lens covers in the manual. The problem is it shows only two fingers to remove which is not going to happen. I used a flat blade screw driver on each side to apply enough force, I heard a crack which I was sure meant I would be buying a new lens but it was just the clips releasing. I thought I was home free but the lens didn't fall out, it still took some wiggling and I had to pull the plastic outer cover to give a little more room. Putting them back in was allot easier, it just snapped back in. I hope that helps.

If you can't find the answer searching online, you could just try turning you signal lights on and listening for the clicking sound of the flasher.
