Default 2005 XJ8 Vanden Plas
I recently purchased a 2005 Jaguar XJ8 Vanden Plas and I can't seem to open the turnk or the glove compartment. Can someone please advise me on how to get it to open? Thanks!

You probably pushed the "Valet" button on the dash. Just make sure your key is removed and use the remote to unlock the doors. This will reset the valet mode.

I am also having problems programming my keyless entry remote. Do you have any suggestions on how I can do this? Thanks!

2005 XJ8? I'm not 100% sure, but I think only the X-type can be programmed at home. All other Jaguar models must be programmed at the dealer. A pain in the ****, I know.

This is the procedure for the X-type, but it might work for yours as well. Try it.
