Default 2005 XJR newbie

hi everyone,,

i just bought a 2005 XJR,, despite the mileage of 80k miles,, the car still in excellent condition,,

i really need your feedback,, opinions,, and common issues expected,,

i already have a couple of minor issues:

-park assist sometimes doesn't function
-a/c fan squeaks

thanks in advance,,

When you say park assist sometimes doesn't function what happens-a continuous beep,no sound at all. Please post more detail.

i even have more to ask:

-what should i expect from an XJR in corners? does it handle like a race car?
my car feels soapy and didn't give the confidence to try,,

-who sells OEM parts online for good prices?

-the car lightly vibrates @ 50 mph,, all tires are balanced and in good shape,, any idea?

thank you all,,

Hi. The long beep and red light indicates the park assist system has gone into fail mode. Usually a failed sensor is the cause. You can do the clicking-listening test. Switch on ignition, engage D or R. And then hold your ear close to each sensor in turn and listen for a continual clicking sound. If no sound then it's a failed sensor. The rear ones are a real pain to swap out as you need to get the bumper (fender) off. They cost approx £25 each.

Hope this helps
