Hey guys. Can’t really find anything like this on the forums. My 05 XJR makes a ticking sound mainly heard on the driver side of the engine low down just behind the driver front tire. I haven’t been able to investigate fully but it doesn’t seem to do it when cold, only when warmed. Additionally, from what I can tell it is NOT RPM dependent. Any ideas? Video attached.

 

Sounds like evap purge valve. Located just behind the wheel well splash shield. Replacement requires ecm flash I believe.
