Which forum should I look at for a 2008 XJ8? I am confused as to what "series" this is. I am getting ready to part with our 2000 XJ8. It has 140k miles on it and I found a nice '08 XJ8 with 68k for a good price. It is Black and Tan with chrome wheels. Good looking car and drives very nicely. Any advice or thoughts to share?

You're in the right forum, (X350 and X358 cars)

Your car is an X358 and getting towards the end of the production run. As such it benefits from all the mods done over the years. Personally, I don't like the restyle, but others do.

All the issues you will read about basically include the supercharged models. These however, have one or two of their own issues related to the SC installation. The most annoying of these is the notorious "valley hose", a small $10 coolant hose that runs along the 'V' and is therefore covered by the SC installation. If this leaks and needs replacing the labour charges will be very high due to all the dismantling, (and re-assembly) involved. Jaguar may, of course, have fixed this in production by using a better quality hose. Jaguar made lots of small changes that were never announced.

Thanks for the info! The car looks real good, one owner, all records, 6 mo left on bumper to bumper warranty, new Pirelli tires. I do like the black and tan!
