Hi All, My satnav packed up some time ago. I bought a new disk as the old one looked scratched, but that one soon packed up as well. So I got a cleaning disc for the DVD reader but still no joy. Sometimes it will work and sometimes nothing and can't read the disc or says checking the disc.
Question is I would prefer not to buy another DVD reader from Jaguar as they look to be horrendously expensive - has anyone tacked this problem before ? Is there another DVD reader that I could buy to replace the Jag one ?

I had a similar problem with a Jeep and simply changed the unit for a double din Pioneer unit which works fine, but the Jag has climate control and lots of other stuff in addition to entertainment and satnav so that doesn;t look like an option

You need to post in the XKR subsection.

I think you will find the answer is no to replacing the Jaguar OEM Satnav player with another make unless ofcourse you do not mind losing everything else.
