Unhappy 2011 XJL completely dead

Hi all, I'm new here and could definitely use some advice. My 2011 XJL is completely dead. With that, we can't access the battery in the truck, so we tried to jump it accessing the panel under the hood. We got nothing - no lights, no action at all. I can't open the glove box to get to my manual. What's my next step? Thanks in advance!

Next step would be to ask in the x351 forum, which is your car.

The X350/X358 has a key slot near the rear number plate to mechanically open the boot. Not sure if it's on X351.
(actually, mine doesn't seem to work!)

Thank you! I’m better understanding the different forums now. Thanks again! Juliet Marie

Look close for a key opening, also look in your owners manual, hopefully its in the glove box

The trick is to lean down heavily on the boot lid to take the strain off the lock while you try to turn the key.

The manual key release is a different part of the lock from the electrically operated release and it doesn't move when you use normal button, or the remote, so it gets very stiff from lack of use.
