AC / Heat Fan
Hi All:
I noticed today that the fan for my AC is no longer able to be controlled manually. It seems to work in auto mode and can feel the air blowing out, but if I turn the knob, it no longer blows harder. Is there anything (ambient temperature) or anything else that could be causing this before I take it in? I notice the front defroster also doesn't kick in but it was 60 degrees out when I tried it.
Thanks,
Eric

Thought I'd updated this thread just in case someone new comes along and is having the same issue. I didn't know it at the time, but this looks like a common problem with these x350's. Like everyone else, my problem was with the blower control module (C239577) at $263.75 + labor to install.
Code: B2514

When my blower module failed it failed completely therefore I am not sure if you have the same problem.
New modules are about 110 GBP In the UK and easy to fit yourself or you could repair it (if it has failed).
This is how I repaired mine.
How roberwil 'stole' from the *******s
Good luck!

That fixed it - blower control module ($460 installed) was replaced and everything is being heated / cooled normally, just in time for Summer!
Now, all I need to do is adjust the glove box latches because the mechanic didn't make sure it was operating correctly when he was done and I now have to slam the glove box closed to get it to stay closed.
