I am wondering if anyone can help me on this. My mechanic recommended that I change out the AC tube for my 04 XJ8L with rear climate. When I search for the part, the current part number is C2C28141. It is indicated that C2C28141 replaces both C2C25673 and C2C16219. When I dig deeper, it seems like the difference between C2C25673 and C2C16219 is the VIN number range covered. Since the part for my VIN is C2C25673, I wonder if the part C2C16219 would fit as well. I am able to find the C2C16219 at a very favorable price compared to the C2C28141.

Any assistance is appreciated.

 

Google the part numbers in Images and see if they are the same.

I did Google the parts and unfortunately, part # C2C25673 does not return any image. When I compare the 16219 and the 28141, they seem almost identical except the new one seems to bend a bit more than the old one. Also, as the pics are taken at different angles, I am not sure if I am comparing apples to apples.
