Amber Light (Right Bumber Trim) - Connection Loose
Hi everyone.
Nice to be back.
I'd like to see if you have an opinion on how to do below best.
On my 04 XJ8 RIGHT Bumber - the little amber light stopped working. Reason - one of the little (one of two) pins that connects the little light assembly (Gray Part) to the internal wiring harness (Black part) broke off. (probably from water/corrosion, etc).
I got the new light/connector/bulb and after 45 mins managed to take out the little broken off pin. Was hard, but got it.
Now, I might have made the opening a little too big by trying to t/out the broken pin (to the black part that leads from the whole wiring harness) and there is a loose connection.
Sometimes, the light works and sometimes in it does not.
Now, it does not seem like I can replace the connector that comes out from the harness inside the car .... what is the best way to make this tight, so the connection in intact. Tried dialectic greese, etc.
Thanks for any help - very much appreciated.
Mike.
