Default Ball Joint Splitter/Separator Tool

Replacing the front lower control arms and unfortunately the ball joint splitter I have will not open wide enough to work on the Jag. I know the OE tool (PN 204-327) is wider, but they don't seem to be available. Has anyone had any luck recently with a tool on the market that is still available?

This is similar to what I have, just not big enough - https://www.minimania.com/part/07-03...Splitter-Lever

I have just done this job on both sides
You will need to remove the caliper and brake disc then
take the hub and straight control arm to Pedders to seperate
them
They did them FOC both sides
Mech said the joints were very tight

Did mine with a BIG set from the auto parts store.
The larger set, required a deposit of over $200.
This set has a ball joint reciever cup.
That is large enough to accomidate removal of the joint.
Believe that size cup is also available at Harbor with the add on kit
Used the 1/2" impact gun to remove & install, on both cars

Thanks guys, ended up borrowing one from a coworker and got it to work. It was the same style as the one I had, but with just about 1/4" more on the opening, that was all I needed. Glad I was able to separate the joint from the arm without damaging it, joint is in good shape and no need to replace it at this point.
