Default Black hose behind passenger kick plate next to BCM

I have just finished doing some repairs to my X350 and there is a black open ended hose next to the front BCM that looks to come down the A pillar but it’s hard to see exactly where from. Initially I thought this was a sunroof drain but I can’t see where it would go to let water out if that is the case as it would just empty into the passenger footwell. Does anyone have any ideas if this is just some kind of vent or if it supposed to attach to anything?

So I ran some water in the sunroof gutter with a far under the open pipe and sure enough it’s the drain. Where is it supposed to attach to drain outside the car?

That's not good. I'm not sure exactly where it goes but it comes down the A pillar, then between the inner and outer wing and
exits behind the front wheel. When I had a new wing fitted they trapped the tube between the inner and outer wing!

Remove the wheel and then the wheel well lining, then you should be able to see the exit of the drain tube.

Best regards,

Thomas

There should be a grommet it goes into that holds the end of the tube to the outside, you should be able to see it in the area with a little luck. I pulled up the repair in topix but it was no help, just shows a picture of a tube in a grommet, with no identifying locations.
