Default Broken hood cable

I have decided to part out or dump my 2006 XJR. I let sit in driveway for over a month and battery is dead. Hopped in to hook up to fuse box to unlatch trunk. Pulled hood release lever and it popped.
Let sit but got out this morning. It was intact under dash. Broke under hood at mechanism.
Is there a non destructive way to release hood?

If you have the xjr grill you do have the possibilety to go from below . Remove first tray behind bumper and try to reach up .
if you have the SE grill you can pull those out by using a piece of cloth showe in at the top and out at bottom one slight pull no damage

Depending on the condition of cable attached to the pull handle inside cabin ... might have to take trim out and grab cable with a plier and pull
