Default Can I run engine briefly without inlet pipe?

Dear Forum,

I have a small coolant leak. I suspect the water pump? Obviously I would like to correctly diagnose it before throwing hard-earned at it!
I have tried looking through an Endoscope, but mine is a cheap one and next to useless...
Can I run my warm engine briefly without the Inlet Pipe, MAF and Breather Pipe, without doing any harm, please?

Thank you in anticipation of your response.
