Its the same Evap leak code its always been. Once the check engine light comes on it stays on until it gets reset.

 

Went through sll of this
cancelled my codes with Sdd they only reapeared after driving for about 100km
Erased again we did a reflash lets see
hope to pass technical control in my country
But looking to solve the problem
2003 xj8 4,2 x350 220tmiles/ 353t km

 

Well the orange engine light came up again after about 400km but the technical control /Mot I passed.
so go to go. Never the less am I trying to find the problem.

2004 xjr , I’ve finally finished the coil over install and some control arms and front hubs and now I have these codes. The gas cap is tight but it doesn’t click , it just tightens and that’s it. Put Vaseline on filler pipe under cap but that didn’t help. I get the codes after revving up to 3500 for 5 seconds and driving at 60 mph for 10 minutes. I’m going to look at the small canister, hope I can find it.

 

I tested the purge valve under the left front fender and it checked out, opens and closes , can hear it clicking. I’m still getting the 442 and 456 codes, I’m at a loss, going to bring it to a mechanic. There’s also no sound from the radio and a small coolant leak, too cold out now to work on it. But it drives incredibly!
