climate control not working
I have an XJ8 2003 my climate control does not seem too work anymore , when you adjust fan speed there is no fan noise or cool air coming thru the vents,
have checked fuses and they seem ok
is there something simple i could do before I have to book it in ?

This is a common fault on this Jag.
It usually is a failed transistor and /or thermal fuse in the blower speed controller.
This is located on top of the ducting behind the glove box and therefore you need to
lower the glovebox to access.
There will be lots of info on this if you search this site.

thanks for your advice guys, I rang jag Australia and they said that i had to buy the whole blower unit @ $1200 (aud) but with a little search on the web,i ordered just the module from america for $200 , fitted it in about an hr and is now working perfectly
thank you very much for the advice

Yep I had the same issue recently as well and also posted. Supposedly my XJR isn't a fan of 115 degree days. Just to mess with me, the air decided to turn on for 10 minutes today just to rub it in. After doing much resear h on these forums, I'm not even gonna bother having a mechanic look at it. I ended up purchasing the c2c39577 part on eBay and will just get it installed by a trustworthy mechanic.
