Cold weather surprise

When I bought my 04 XJ8, the front end was sitting much too low and there was a constant suspension fault on the dash. A friend cleared the codes and helped me level the car, which helped its looks, but did nothing to stop the fault from reappearing. He suggested I rebuild the compressor. I did that and when he cleared the code again, this time it stayed gone.

This is my first winter as a Jag owner. We've just experienced some of the coldest weather this area has had in several years. I'd read so many threads on this forum in which the op's car was squatting when it turned cold outside. So, I about half-way expected that mine would do the same thing on those nights when it was near zero degrees.

My car surprised me. Since my friend leveled the car (when it was much warmer) and I rebuilt the compressor, it has never squatted, even in the coldest of nights. It looks in the morning just as it did when I parked it the night before.

I like that.
