Cooling Seats (Or Lack Of)…..
Hello All,
my driver and passenger front seats are not blowing any cold air when I switch the cooling function. I understand that air from the AC unit is simply routed into the seats this cooling action is engaged. Any advice or instructions (sticky) on how to fix this? AC blows ice cold btw….

Hi Indy,
The seats are a separate sub-system to the main air conditioning.
The heating and cooling are done by electronic Peltier units.
The info on them is in the 2008 update attached, starting on page 36.
Hope this helps
Pete

As Pete M says, at least X358's or MY08 have Peltier units in the cooled seats. It says so.
Unfortunately mine don't cool. I tested with a temperature gun over 10 minutes or so. They heat, fan & everything else. Strange that they heat not cool given peltier units is just a matter of reversing current between heat and cool. I haven't physically checked for peltier units because it's dark down there. And I live in a lovely climate...up here in the North Island we don't actually need them...
