Default Driver's Door Module and B2139

Dear Forum,

My key fob has packed up. I can lock/unlock my doors manually with the key (so my Door Actuators are still working). I have replaced the Fob battery and tried to program it several times, but to no avail. I have code B2139, BUT I do not have a Driver's Door Module code?

Question (please): When you program your key fob, is it the DDM that you are programming? I ask, because I am trying to confirm that it is definitely my DDM that has failed and not the extra functions that (I believe) exist on my Driver's Door Lock Actuator?

Years ago I failed to program my fob but found out the secret

ie you have to do it really fast!

The fob communicates with the DDM

B2139 is saying that there is an unlock error between DDM and REM.

This could be a faulty connection on the DDM which has happened before!

I suggest that you try to program the fob very quickly and if no luck

clean contacts on the DDM and check that all the contacts are making contact.

While you are 'in there" open DDM and examine PCB for signs of overheating and poor joints etc.

Thank you (as always) Meirion1.

I will certainly try again but faster!

Hi guys we have that same code B2139 now together with B1359 after taking all the injectors out of a diesel xj 2007 x358.. they have all been cleaned put back together with new seals . Car ready to start.
BUT... while plugging back together the and installing electrical connectors we created a spark ( key off but battery plugged in.) With one ground connector from Egr system against right hand metal fuel line.
Could that create a problem for the ignition switch.
all injector metal lines have been bled to get air out new diesel filter installed and filled

Google the codes if you have not done that already

Try disconnecting battery and touching leads together.

Leave for a few hours and reconnect

Is PATS light flashing normally when car is locked?

Will car start and run?

After the injector cleaning and putting everything back together again I believe there is a lot of air in the system thats why we can not start the engine . It turns over no problem. Lets see
