Been wrenching on the 2005 XJR for the past 3 months and in the processes of disassembly to get to the knock sensors mistakenly took the Boost solenoid apart.
Specifically part # AJ88582 which sits right on top of the EGR tube that bolts to the Super charger elbow. I have the original Denso unit that has definitely seen better days but should still work.
I've searched without luck to find some sort of guidance or documentation on how to get the damn spring back in there and get the teeth to fall into place correctly.
Praying one of the resident Jaguar gods can tell me what steps to take to put it back together, how to make sure it's correct or what the trick is in general.
This is one of the few remaining bottlenecks in getting the whole engine bay buttoned up, any assistance is appreciated !
