hello everyone,
i replaced my right front air strut and height sensor on my 2004 van den plas, since then the right front has been has been under inflated and the vehicle not leveled. i have tried three of the four various jaguar dealers in the area in the past for various work and they have never solved my issues. i took my jag to one jaguar dealer immediately after i installed the two parts and the dealer said that i had to replace the right front strut before they could do anything to the suspension. i have tried many posts on how to level my front struts but had no luck. i am very mechanically knowledgeable as i work on all my cars but this cat is very stubborn. any input would be very appreciated!!!

Hi AngelIM
What did you replace the strut with, i.e. was it a new OEM or aftermarket ?

If you replaced the height sensor then you need to recalibrate the suspension height. You need a special lead and computer program to do this. The official lead is very expensive but Chinese clones available in the internet.

'Google' Jaguar and Mongoose (sometimes called Mangoose to avoid copyright issues ?).

Try searching here for similar threads with 'Mongoose', 'SDD', 'suspension height' sort of thing.

Alternatively, cannot you find an independent Jaguar garage ? They are generally all round better than official Jag agents.

yes if you have replaced the level sensor it will be fitted at slightly a different attitude and will need calibrating to perfectly level the car

regards

it looks that way only the dealerships in my area may not want to work on an older car
