Default This is becoming a long Thread

I think its pretty cool to stumble across this website to find you all.
Thanks for keeping up with this long install and giving me your input.

I was driving and I spilled a drink in my car. Ive decided to eliminate the cup holders. Only bottled water allowed from now ;(

Well in place of the cup holder here is what i did

I fabricated a Touch pad where the cup holders once was so I can control the Matricom G Box

Arm rest Slider Still functions normal

I tell you what would be ultra cool, is an engine start / stop button instead of having to use the key.
I expect the key would still have to be inserted and turned but the final turn to start the engine could be swapped out for the button, maybe ???????????

Actually we all can lose our keys for a push start.

Look up Advance keys

Its like a credit card fob we stick in our wallet. When we approach the vehicle the doors auto unlock. Get in with the fob in range the immobilizer is bypassed the green led trim around push start indicates the car is safe to start. Push once ACC push twice IGN ON Apply brake and Hold Down to Start

No more keys

Installation is just like installing an after market remote starter. We will need a data link bypass module "Flashed" if we dont want to sacrafice a factory key

I must apologize that it took me so long to get over here to see your project after you complimented my work over in my build thread. I must say, you have done amazing work on your xj! Having a skill in working with fiberglass as you have, that opens a lot of possibilities. Personally, I would have never attempted so much...I don't think I could even conjure up such ideas, but it is great to see others like yourself who have that imagination and foresight...not to mention the talent to do it themselves. I sincerely congratulate you.

I didn't see any mention of your shallow mount subwoofer install. Did you mount both JLs in the rear parcel shelf, and did they fit?

Thanks for the kind words buddy! ill snap some shots of the woofers

They are build to the rear floors. ie where the rear passengers rest their feet. Down fire. It sounds amazing even though my boxes were just a little below recommended JL specs. Didn't want to raise the floor too much.I poly filled the crap out of the boxes. Dynamat outside underneath vehicle where exhaust shield was the only rattle. I had the idea to do this and looked forever for a White x358 L needed that extra legroom for the boxes. The front seats can slide all the way back if needed they stop right before they hit the boxes. Really the only way for the bass to travel is underneath the two front seats

Your interior mods are fantastic! I got so many ideas now. Not quite as extensive as yours though. Thanks for all the pics. It helps me to really visualize what could be done, and how nice it could look when done properly.

Thanks Guys! I really appreciate yall

Here Are some pics. However I just ordered A kindle Fire HD It measures 6.7 inches wide and will fit perfectly. I figured a tablet will be even better than just a regular LCD monitor.

So more pics coming.

Marque I think im gonna stick with this box. It runs smooth. Big shout out to you for helping me find one.

Rear monitor

Led cup holders

7" LCD monitor with touch switch

getting wires into the console took a bit of a dremel. lol Also to get the lid to close was a little tricky

Smoke glass and two actuators with touch button. Motorized lid for champagne flutes

I just installed three thermal fans for the mono block amp. I figured summer is almost here and I must protect that thing. Lots of improvements and minor upgrades since last post. I know 2 batteries is not always needed with big sound systems but it will always make a difference. Ill post more pics of the other minor things I changed since last post
