Default flip key

Can an aftermarket key immobilizer be programmed by Jaguar? This is for a 2004 xj, Jag successfully cut the key.

I bought two replacement keys on ebay and swapped the key part over myself and just got the dealer to program the pair when it went in for a couple of other jobs.

Thx. I removed the key portion, recently dealer cut and am awaiting an OEM used flip to swap with. This way there will be two OEM based flips to program. BTW, dealer charges around $155 for this, not too bad. Did not want to use non OEM transducer for this, which I've read on forums can mess up. Dealer wants $350 for a flip, sorry, not this time.

I got lucky. I know the dealer as I have used them for 28 years now. The car had a couple of other things being done so they programmed both fobs for £50 as a favour. Brilliant result !!
