Embarrassed to ask this question as it might mean getting my man badge revoked, but I am installing a Sirius XM receiver in my wife's 04 XJ8 with factory nav. Instructions require the FM radio be set at certain frequencies to transmit Sirius signal. However as there is nothing currently transmitting to those frequencies, I cannot get the tuner to stop and lock in for preset. Can someone enlighten me on how I might be able to do this?

Have you tried manual tune mode - press and hold the up or down tune button for more than two seconds?

 

Or, turn the Sirius radio on, select the frequency you want to use, and it will be transmitting. Then the Jag radio should hear the signal and stop scanning.
