Default fuel gauge 3/4 full after fill up. New sender and pump.

could use some help on this one. fuel gauge reads 3/4 after fill up. if i top off, can get to 1/8 lower than full, instead of 1/4 lower than full. sender and pump were both replaced with oem parts due to age failure / no start (originals) by jag dealer. New Part Numbers: C2C24163 and C2C24164. took back to them (parts and labor warranty for replaced parts), they were unsure of problem, did not want to look at car, said do not work on older than 2006 now, thought software, but got them to look at it, replaced sender C2C24163 again due to strange readings. still no different. gauge and trip computer correspond with each other previously and now. fuel gauge functions normally, except fuel level is off - low as described. they thought could be gauge, wiring or software. they are not familiar with instrument cluster engineering mode (so they say), if applicable to x350 and are uninterested in resolving issue. not sure if personal (some bad blood), incompetence, or other failure. spoke with two other jags dealers out of town, thought sender problem or float interference from fuel lines in tank, without seeing car. not sure if there are any other fuel level sensors that could be defective or if all included with replacement new pump and sender. any thoughts???? thanks!!!!

Sounds like a float/sender issue on the float for the top of the tank. There are two senders.
