Fuel pump constantly clicking
Does anyone else have it where it’s difficult to fill up your car? My car I have to stand there and hold the handle and fill it very slowly or it will constantly click off the pump and it takes me quite a while to fill up. Are there any tips on how to avoid this?
Yes, and it is not just a Jag! My wife Subaru is the worst in that matter.
On car equipped with OBD2 and pressurizing crank case, when you have to tighten gas cap, otherwise you going to get MIL illuminated, there is expansion tank right after filling opening. when you almost done filling car that expansion tank begins to 'burp.' That triggers pump gun to cut off. Pumps are very sensitive to spilling gasoline, they can be fined for gasoline spells.
Anyway, you not suppose to fill tank to brim. This may interfere with crank case sealing system. Actually, the system associated with adding gas vapor into intake side, for some reason I believe it is tied together with crank case vacuum, if my memories serve me correctly.

Hey everyone, just reporting back. I found a trick that is working. If I invert the nozzle 180 degrees (upside down) I can fill the car at full flow without the pump clicking off except when the tank is full.
