Default got my new Jag!

Yay, I'm here

Made a deal for a 2006 XJ8-L in Quartz, 57k miles. Not my all-time favorite color, but it's got everything else right, and the color is growing on me. Really love the Dove interior much more than the Champagne. Has Bluetooth (I believe), front parking assist, heated seats/steering, and CD changer.

Seller is going to replace the missing lower grille piece, but not the torn rear bushings (I doubt Jag would do it under warranty either). I plan to find an ashtray to replace the XM radio, take care of those rear bushing boots, and then it should be minty!

Going to pick it up Saturday, if the weather is not too horrible with the sleet/snow we're supposed to get Friday afternoon... Better pictures to follow

Hey, that's a nice colour ! My old Mark 2 was Opalescent Silver Grey and looked just like yours. Not sure whether Dove is the right match for it, though. Anyways, what the hell, if it drives right and has been well looked after !

Got to say I like the Quartz on the XJ8.

Good luck for favourable weekend weather.

What did you pay and why won't the seller repair the bushings?

Just about $18k without tax. He didn't replace them because he came down to my price. I gave him my offer for the car as-is, and he decided either not to bother trying to get them done under warranty, or Jag told him they wouldn't replace them.

Nothing wrong with the color at all! Just don't personally love it compared with blue... but I'm not buying a new car lol. I do agree that Jag had some odd color combinations for this year. I think dove would be stunning with the indigo exterior, but that was only allowed to have champagne. The good thing is with the tinted windows you don't really see the interior from the outside. And I do really like the light gray interior.

Also has the Alpine stereo... so almost all the options except Nav (which I didn't want). Adaptive Cruise was not available except on the XJR, right?
