I did my yearly trip to Barrett-Jackson yesterday. Did my normal valet park thing in the morning, spent a few hours meandering around talking with some people I knew then while waiting for my car at the valet stand it comes rolling up and the two people next to me (probably in there 40's) say: Woman; what a beautiful car, is it new? while the man says; No, but that's a Jaguar.... R Type right ?


Small talk lasted less than 15 seconds with my stating yes, its a R and than you for the compliments..... then added its normally my wifes driver. While getting in the car I hear his wife say.... you need to get me one of those, LOL.


Gotta love a 10 year (kinda normal) car getting kudos in a sea of classics, muscle cars and high end supercars.

I get the same with mine from time to time and ALWAYS puts a smile on my face too.

Last month while cruising down Ocean Drive on South Beach in Miami (where every exotic car known to man can be seen), 3 people looked at my 8 year old XJL and gave me complements or thumbs up!

 

I just bought one. I couldn't resist it!

 

400 hp sedans are "special" cars every day of the week

 

People ooh and aah when they look at them. Can you imagine what they would say at WOT!!
