Default Heater core o-rings

Replaced my heater core two years ago. Heater core came with new o-rings. I changed out the supplied bolts for the clamps with longer ones with hex heads so I could get them back together. This winter my valley hose went. Replaced it along with the thermostat housing (was not leaking but I was in there. While pressure testing the repair I was loosing pressure. I found the the core leaking from the clamps. I tightened them down as much as I dared and the system held pressure. Now the low coolant light came on (2,000 miles since the repair). The core connection is damp. I'm going to live with it until spring but would like to replace the o-rings. Does anyone know the size? Thanks.

Best to ask one of the forum sponsors like SNG Barrett.

Also, not sure if those clamps are worn style or pressure clamps.

I think the latter. You may have to change the actual hoses as well.

Good luck

I learned to like the stock spring type clamps on motorcycles.
They stay tight, but not tight enough to damage any plastic coolant connectors.

Some time ago I bought a kit of many different size O rings.

The rubber is good quality but you will not be guaranteed to get the

correct combination of od, id and cross section width.

A few days ago I changed the coolant and found that the

O ring on the rad drain valve was damaged and replaced it from my kit.

Makes jobs very easy
