I have no fob. I have unlocked the doors with the black key. I have tried to open the boot with the black key. It only turns to the right. It won't unlock. When I turn the key and push the button to open the boot, a beeping noise comes from the interior and the dash says valet mode. I have until Monday to figure this out before a trip to the dealership

 

Try turning the key twice to unlock all the doors.
Maybe that will take it out of valet mode, since the black key should not a valet key.

 

As your car is a 2000 model then it's an X308 so you'd do better to post in that forum rather than this one which is for the X350/358 which was a later and significantly different model.

when you get it out of valet mode you should buy a fob. saw one on ebay for $15 You should be able to program it to the car fairly easy and you can probably get it pretty cheap if you shop around for a used or aftermarket one. You might be able to program fob and use it to get out of valet. You only need dealer programming for transponder not the fob. Fob can be programmed in driveway.
