Had to program 2 Jag keys. 1 was a blank key that was cut to the proper profile. 1 was original oem key that needed chip replacement. Chip replaced and everything appeared to be programmed for both keys. Keys in #2 position and all lights, windows, wipers etc function properly; BUT neither key will turn to #3 start position. Maybe the barrel has a blockage? Check to see if you can open the trunk with the oem key. Did the oem key previously work to turn to #3 and start car or is it a new oem but never associated with the car? Also be sure you have a "6 cut" not "8 cut" key - read the attached to understand Tibbe keys
