Default Honest post purchase review

Lots of you have read about my experiences of trying to buy a used Jaguar, finally I purchased a Silver 2004 XJR but only with the help of Forum member George Androulakis our own resident jag dealer. I purchased the car unseen which for me was hard but trusted George who found and checked out the car which was located in Florida. The purchase price was essentially wholesale so saved me thousands and the transport costs where very reasonable. I would and will have no problem using George in the future for my next purchase and encourage anyone looking to buy a used Jaguar to get in touch with him. The car is great and better than any I looked at myself between South Carolina and Virginia. Thanks George.

Nice story-my Jag is the same colour

You will have to change your name to 'Two Jags' now.
( He is an infamous UK politician)

Good luck with the new Jag.

Excellent, glad that worked out for you! I imagine you were a little wary of the 'sight unseen', and putting full trust into someone you've never met. I have coworkers and family mentioning a specific car they want all the time to me, I'll have to give them George's contact info, as I'm sure he knows more than just jaguars in his business.

I also purchased my car sight unseen from somebody I had never met. I increased the possibilities of a problem by sending the full payment to him two weeks in advance of flying down to North Carolina and personally taking possession of the car.

Certainly would not recommend this process to anybody else but it did work for me this time. The guy involved turned out to be deadly honest and I got the car at a very good price and it was exactly as described, gorgeous and in perfect condition. That is all but the spare wheel that had been trashed having been rubbed really badly along a curb. He even compensated me for that because he did not know about it and felt he should have known.

I am absolutely in love with this car.

I have always bought used cars and have avoided dealers and nearly always bought (and sold) my cars privately with no warranty of course.

Buying from a private person has always been a good experience and I realised that if you judge the vendor to be genuine then the chances are that the car will be genuine also.

There you are, 45 years of experience for free!

BTW IF he's wearing trainers forget it! LOL
