Default Hood Insulation pad

Has anyone found a solution to a sagging hood insulation pad apart from buying a replacement? I understand the old part # for 2003-2006MY is C2C3725 and the superseded # is C2C32839 for 2007-2009MY which as far as I can tell aren't exactly the same.

You are correct, unless lucky enough to find the original part number. You basically have to "trim" the new part to make it fit reasonably well. The holes for the plastic fastners fit exactly, but you have to trim the edges. I just did this 2 weeks ago.

New part fit my 2005 just fine. No trimming needed.
