I was searching for a new/used car for about a month before I bought my Jag. I was actually shopping for a Mercedes as I have always liked German engineering (I'm half German ). We have many car lots in Toronto so I shopped around but the Jaguars always caught my eye and it seems every fourth car on the highway is ether a Mercedes or Honda. I was also very impressed with the interior of the Jaguar as it has more of a Rolls/Bentley look compared to most. It may seem like a small detail but I love the fact the battery was in the trunk, it keeps it clean and warm to a "degree". My other half is Irish and I ended up in an British vehicle I can't believe the amount of compliments I get pulling up to my store, gas stations and the beer store

Yup, I agree thanks to amount of usage of wood trims make Jaguar look like a Bentley, Rolls Royce . Let's not forget marquetry in VDP / Daimler models . Sadly , new XJ lacks of huge wood slab on on the center dash

The novilty still hasn't worn out. My neighbors keep saying "nicest car on the street" and "that's a really really nice car" Oh and I forgot "doesn't your car ever get dirty"? I guess I wash it too much
