Default I need help to operate dvd system.

I have a 2005 vanden plas recently purchased from a family member.
I am trying to find a manual for entertainment system.
The 6 disc cd player works fine.
I put a dvd in the player in trunk and am able to get audio but no video. Is there something I am missing? I am not sure what all of the controls do on front console. The cover for the rear console controls has be broken off but it does not seem to connect electrically so I have to assume it would not effect the playing of discs.
I am hoping someone could shed some light on this or point me in the right direction.

Thank you, Jim

You can download an electronic manual from the sticky at the top of this forum.

Are you sure your not putting a dvd in to the NAV dvd player?
The NAV DVD player is not actually for watching dvd's ..
OR do you have a separate rear entertainment player?

In response to the Nav, question, Yes I am sure. I have 3 separate units. The DVD player is on top followed by 6 disc changer then the Nav. system. (which needs to be updated). This is part of my confusion. My last vehicle had a DVD player and I put the disc in the dash unit. Thank you for your response.
In reference to the 2nd, I am not sure what/where the "sticky" is. Sorry, I am new to this medium. Would you mind pointing it out for me?
Thank you

At the headrest monitor, there are a set of buttons.

After using the power button, the monitor will display 'no disc' or something similar. Can you see the on screen text?

This should happen whether there is a disc in the player or not. It is a good first step to verify power and display...

Hope that helps.
