Default Impulse drive.

I just took Christina Jaguilera out for a 90 mph cruise down I-40 for about 20 miles. No reason. My mood has improved greatly.

I salute you.

Isn't that the reason we bought and put up with these cars? For some 'aah, just me and my car' time?

There are two kinds of people in this world. Those who enjoy the thrill of a drive and those who drive BMWs.

Thanks. I did it again tonight. My company supplies me with a vehicle, so C.J. sits in the garage all by herself most of the time.

Last Sunday morning, I left my house at 5:30AM, to catch a 6:45AM flight out of DFW. I live around 23 miles from the airport. I woke up an hour late. The time change didn't register on my Android phone until after the alarm woke me, and the phone, up at 5:05AM instead of the 4:05 I wanted to wake up at.

I exited the freeway at 5:41AM. It was raining, lightly. I sustained 100mph for probably 1/2 the trip, and coasted down to 80-90 to pass a few cars. It was AWESOME.

Funny, I've driven pretty sedately since then. I think I got my ******* out on that jaunt.

At 100mph, my car was spinning around 2600 rpm. It could probably trudge along at that speed all day every day, with stops for oil changes and gas. What a star.
