Thanks you! I guess I’m low-trust because I went ahead and notched the ashtray compartment for the wires to start. And It’s a good thing, because everything is working great EXCEPT audio out from the CD player and Jagaux. The controls are responding perfectly, just no audio. So I’m n troubleshooting mode. But if I figure it out I’ll stick it behind the head unit for sure.

I’m getting a permanent message in phone mode that the headset is in use, which is odd because I don’t think I’ve ever tried to pair one. But it makes me wonder if the head unit bluetooth channel is conflicting with the Jagaux and isn’t allowing the audio to play because a call in progress.

But then the radio plays fine, so what do I know? Just spitballing at this point. But the fact I can’t get the phone mode to boot to the keypad display and it is bluetooth seems plausibly related.

 

I would suggest contacting Alex directly at JagAux, he is very responsive to any questions. Good luck with the install.

 

I put mine under the glove box just in case I ever needed to access it. Simple enough to do.

 

UPDATE FOR THE CHAT: The issue above was mine alone. I had previously understood that my stereo was the standard model, but in fact it is the premium package and requires a different audio interface. Alex at Jagaux could not have been nicer when I contacted him via WhatsApp and email and is sending me the correct unit while I return the original. Costs me shipping and handling only.

Because the rest of the install was so seamless I am very confident this will work.
