Default LPG conversion in the UK (a quick survey)

I have a Super V8 and I'm looking to convert it to run on LPG. I'll be handing it over to a specialist to do.

I've just started my research and have one quote back from a company who seem to specialise in Jags (Go-LPG).

I'm after peoples LPG conversion experiences and any problems that arose (if any) and any recommendations of people who can carry out the conversion.

Hi Jim,

I'll certainly do a little write up with pic's once its done along with a review of the system in general after its been in for a few months. I'll work out what I'm saving as well.

I'm just putting this project on hold for now until I get comfort problem sorted first. This Jag seems to have the most uncomfortable seat ever and it's starting to give me prolonged pain in my right leg, not something you would expect from such a luxury car. Anyway, the car is booked in to the local car trimmer to rebuild the seat base with new foam and remove the rock hard piping which digs into my leg. I'll report back on how successful this is when its done in a new thread as I know other people have complained about comfort.

If you are looking to change the car over to LPG I would also look at CNG and LNG. Depending on the infrastructure in the UK, and their potential in the future, I think they could provide even more cost benefit. I know here in the US we are a little slow in developing the distribution network to use either, but CNG especially shows a lot of promise. The US has an overabundance of CNG and should continue to have for the foreseeable future. As long as we do not start liquefying it and shipping it overseas it should continue to have a great cost benefit. In fact, I heard recently you get the equivalent of $1.35 per gallon of gas.
