Default Mina products, any good?

Thinking of upgrading the cat. They have several packages. I'm looking at their exhaust. One is a muffler delete(straight pipes), the other a nice looking exhaust system with mufflers.

Are these any good? Anyone have sound clips or opinions?

I'm definitely doing the pulley & intake pipe but considering the exhaust too.

TIA

I have both the intake and the performance exhaust with mufflers.

Regarding the exhaust...very nice, well made, good fit and finish. Perfect bolt-on, no modifications required. The tips fit the bumper holes very nicely and look much better than stock. It will change the tone of your exhaust and perhaps make it just a tiny bit louder. I ended up ripping out the center mufflers and putting in an x pipe. This really opened the sound up nicely. Nice tone and volume, no drone, and still quiet when cruising. I will be putting in some Nameless cats soon to complete the setup.

Regarding the intake...it's not the greatest. After a while, I ended up getting rid of everything except the filter itself. I cut off a stock MAF pipe and clamped the filter onto the end of that, and then connected that to the stock pipe going to the throttle. I used the stock air snorkel along with other modifications to unsure that plenty of cool air reaches the filter. Works extremely well. I know they offer a different intake pipe for the XJR, so my comments may not apply to you.

To sum it up, the exhaust is excellent but you might be able create a better intake yourself for less money.

Thanks, I appreciate the answers. I'm probably going to just get their new intake tube and pulley. Is that what was sub-par? The tube itself?

I can't speak for the XJR tube they offer, just the XJ8 intake setup. Nothing seemed to fit 100% and there's nothing outstanding quality-wise. Just not worth it for the price. Again, I can't comment on the XJR tube.

They do, however, sometimes offer a discount for forum members. And again, I do highly recommend the exhaust.
