Default Need Help Locating Cylinder #7 on 04' XJ8

Does anyone know where cylinder #7 is on the 4.2L engine? I need to replace the coil but I don't know which cylinder is #7. A picture or description would be great.

Thank you,
JagManBonano

Jaguar have changed the numbering methods over the years. This is the latest summary sheet I have:

Thank you,

Jagrepair.com has this diagram - not sure whether it is older or newer than the one Graham posted.

Cheers,

Don

Thank you both for the diagrams. This will be of great help once I start working on the car this weekend.

Cheers,

Ok so I switched the coil in cylinder#7 with #3 and confirmed it was the coil that was bad and not any of the spark plugs. When I tried looking for a coil replacement I couldn't find any that were "Denso" like the stock ones I have. I called the Jaguar dealership and the ones they carry don't have any manufacturer markings, it just says "Jaguar" as they claim. However, I'm looking at other coils such as "Standard" and bought that instead to see if it's compatible or makes a difference. After installing it my car seems to be working normal and there are no problems yet after driving 24 miles. My question is, is this "Standard" coil fine for this vehicle? Or should I just spend a lot more money on the coil from the dealer to be safe even though their brand cannot be confirmed as "Denso"? Any thoughts?
