I have a 2006 XJ Sov. It seems that the radio, cassette and Sat Nav are showing working but no sound. The screen shows amount of volume and all stations but even when I hit Mute it shows up and then hit volume again but nothing coming out of the speakers. I see a fuse for the amp but that checks out ok.

I've already had the amp replaced temporarily with a 2nd hand (known working unit ) and the problem persists.
Member Evan Trinh has outlined the probable cause and I want to investigate further....

My local Indy seems to think that it may be the phone module?
There's also a 4 second delay when answering an incoming call??
Possible I suppose, although Evans thoughts are probably more on the ball I'd imagine.


However, as I have a warranty and they're supposedly springing for it, I'm looking at trying replacing the phone module.
Allegedly though they cannot be had new so it'll be a 2nd hand unit........I'll report back but feel we may be replacing some fibre optic cables shortly.
