Oil pressure warning light
Hi guys!
I am having a problem with the oil pressure warning light at the instrument cluster. For the last two years when I was starting up the car I had the oil pressure symbol light up before a cold start-as expected but never coming on anymore when doing warm starts. Starting this winter and so on I have never seen the light come up on the instrument cluster at all. I've mentioned it to the mechanics while they were fixing a transmission leak I had the other day but they say that they have tested the oil pressure switch and everything seems fine and just to move on and forget about that light (I dislike that answer...). I've put the instrument cluster into test mode and I do confirm the bulb is operative. Is there anything that I can do without a lift to confirm that the pressure switch is indeed OK? Are they prone to failures? Thanks!
