I drove with cruise control enabled and I wanted to switch it off.
So I didn't push the brake, like I normally did.
This time, I used the button on the steering wheel to disengage cruise control.

For some unknown reason, I held the button much longer than usual.
When I released the button, I was overwhelmed by red and yellow lights and all kind of messages on the dashboard.
DSC offline, engine fault ....

I pushed the gear-shift level to "N" and the RPMs were zero... so I stopped the car.
When pushed to "P", the engine started again, and I was not able to reproduce this event.

There are no error-codes to read with SDD. My battery is very healthy..

Is it possible that the ECM crashed ??

i have a 2005 v8 and got the same problem. I also got the limb mode and needed to lock and unlock the car, to reset the faults, after that everything works again. Anyone here have any idea what is going on?
my software in the car is from 2007, dont know if there is any newer software avaible
