Question Parklights come on when unlocking the car

Hi All.

Can anyone explain why my park lights come on when I unlock my car? It seems there is a leak or some loose contact of wires somewhere as the car never did this before. The problem occurs whether or not the light switch is on the "off" position.

I have noticed that when these parklights come on, they seem to be linked or connected to the interior lights, as the parklights would come off at the same time as the timing out or switching off of interior lights.

What could be wrong? Please help as this issue is killing my nerves!

Appreciated.

Is it night or day when they come on, or both ?

I was off the internet for a shortwhile due to some serious issues.

I noticed that the problem shows mostly at night and I only saw it once in the afternoon. The problem is intermittent and I can't say I have detected a pattern yet. At first I thought it occurred when the light switch was left on "Auto" position, but I saw that it did the same one day on the "Off" position. The lights go off when interior lights time out and switch off, as if the park lights wires are somehow linked to interior light circuit/ switch.

How can I tell if it's the light switch fault or if interior wires or circuits have "merged" with park lights'?
