The passenger door lock on my 2004 XJ8 does not lock/unlock, either when pressing the fob button, actuating the lock from the driver's side, or pressing the central lock button on the console. However, manually activating it causes the other three doors to lock and unlock. I'm suspecting the solenoid may be bad, or hopefully, the connector ... isn't.

Could someone provide a bit of reassurance on removing the door panel? I've removed several in my day, and I'm sure this will be similar: Remove armrest, pop-out lower half of panel and lift up?
