Here is a photo of the open air intake with heat shield. It's a little difficult to see the heat shield.

That is just so sweet, the cargo liner is just too cool, I have another window open right now looking at the color they have so I can order one.

That's the same grill I have on my 2008 XJ and it looks awsome. The man cave is very cool as well as all of the updates. Thanks for sharing!

I'm elated to learn that the 08-09 grille can be retrofitted thus!

I hope that availability of this mod continues for awhile!

Does the stock air scoop and hose deliver cold air to the filter?

Mods are tasteful and your garage is sweet too..! And by the way your new wheels look better than the oem wheels. How do they handle? Your car is nice..

Ebay from time to time will yield the best deal. The dealer had quoted me around $1500 for it but I got mine from a gent in the UK for less than $300

Thanks Ikon. I really like the new 20" wheels too. I went from 18" to 20" wheels, and so far, I've found very little difference in terms of road noise. In fact, I feel the 20" actually feeling much smoother. However, that may be due in fact that the tires are still brand new compared to the original 4 year old Continentals.

Anticitizen, I got mine from BlackcountryJaguar.com in England for $200 U.S with shipping included to Canada. I believe, they still have a few in stock. If not, Ebay does list them from time to time....

Default Considering trading in my XJ8 for this XJR....

I'm seriously considering trading in my XJ8 for this XJR ! While I'm very happy with my XJ8, this white XJR is very tempting..... Price for this 08 XJR is reasonable too ($29,000 Canadian), mileage 64.000km, no accidents... What do you think guys ?

I bought a new XJ in late 2003 with 18" wheels, I had to sell it with only 9000 miles on the clock as my wife always felt sick in it. I had an XK coupe straight after this and had to sell it with only 20k on the clock as my daughter was getting taller and not able to fit in the back. I then bought a new Merc CLK convertible in 2005 which was nice but I still wanted another XJ which I bought used in 2008, a 2004 Super V8 with all the toys. This one had 20" wheels and the same suspension as the earlier XJ however, no sickness this time, purely down to the ride on the 20" wheels! Go figure!!
